Mattress King is truly different. Voted the best place to buy a mattress for over 16 years speaks volumes, but what really makes us different?

Maybe it's the fact all our sleep experts are certified with hours of training. Using the latest in science technology with the Bed Match System, we are able to find the perfect mattress for you in your budget... all backed by our 120 day Better Sleep Guarantee.
Perhaps it's our Red Carpet, White Glove FREE Delivery service. And remember, Mattress King doesn't let just anyone into your home. We do extensive interviews and background checks making sure only the finest professionals deliver you your new sleep set.
Or maybe it's our Best Price or it's FREE Guarantee, assuring our guest the confidence they are getting the lowest price (we will even show you the competitor's sale ads).
Whatever the reasons, at Mattress King we love what we do. We are humbled to have been voted the best place to buy a mattress for so long, and we love serving our guests.
Jay and Mary Hoffmann
Jay and Mary may be the owners, but you would never know that. Mattress King is more like a family. With over 25 years at Mattress King, they feel blessed to be involved with such a great group of team members to work with. Being high school sweethearts in Lewistown, Mt., and marrying shortly after graduation, they have been happily married for over 32 years. Jay and Mary keep busy visiting their 2 children's families and their 5 grandkids. They feel very fortunate to live in Montana, the most beautiful state in the nation, and enjoy being very much involved with their "two" great families...very blessed indeed.
When anyone has a problem, be it a guest or team member, Tashina is the go to problem solver. She began working as one of the first & only female delivery service professionals in 2001. Since then, she has slowly worked her way up the ranks, moving from deliveries to heading the warehouse, and now as our team leader. Mattress King is her family and the reason she feels that work is not 'just work'. In fact, Tashina met her husband, Kyle, while they were both working at Mattress King. They were married in 2010 and have been raising their three kids, Savannah, Harper, and Sawyer, ever since. She loves ambitious home renovation projects, even if she doesn't have the time to complete them. Her hobbies include cooking, camping, fishing & working on her vegetable garden. Tashina loves coming into Mattress King and executing our Mission Statement: serving guests and team members while making a positive difference in their lives. She is the authoritative presence that keeps the wheels on the tracks, Mattress King moving forward, and the guests happy. Tashina continues to learn, adapt, and change depending on what fire needs put out or what issue needs resolved. She has been and will continue to be an integral presence at Mattress King.
Don't let the boyish looks and charm fool ya, Marty is as smart as they come and will do his very best to serve you in any way possible. To earn his Marketing and Business degree at the University of Minnesota, he was required to internship at a business. In 2010, Jay and Mary let him experience the entire operation of Mattress King sales, ordering, delivery, accounting, management, marketing, and everything else in between. This internship transitioned into a full time position working as Mattress King's Marketing guru. Marty is originally from the Czech Republic. He spent 2 seasons playing hockey for the Billings Bulls and continues to play hockey on a more recreational level. Marty's main goal is "to allow everyone the opportunity to sleep as well as they possibly can". He lives in Billings with his wife, Jacki, and two sons, Henrik and Mason. As for Montana, Marty says, "It is the best place on Earth".
Jeremy originally worked as a part time delivery professional on weekends, after school & summers for several years while attending & graduating from Billings Christian School. After being away for 3 years while his wife attended school to become a dental assistant, he was enticed back to Mattress King in 2012 by the culture, team members, and the opportunities that Mattress King offered. To say that Jeremy is an avid sports fan would be an understatement. Having played basketball and soccer in high school, he loves anything that involves competition. If he were to travel anywhere, he would take a European tour visiting Germany, Italy, England, and all the countries in between. On a Friday or Saturday night you can find Jeremy spending quality time playing games and watching sports with his wife Thannon and their daughter Madison.
Would you like to talk about history, psychology, or sports? Kaleb would be your man! Kaleb began working at Mattress King in June of 2012. He has lived in several towns throughout Montana and got his degree at the University of Montana in Missoula. As a child, Kaleb was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, this caused him to have many sleepless and painful nights. This experience has instilled in him the desire to get quality sleep and the importance that sleep has on your entire life; physically, mentally, and emotionally. His objective at Mattress King is to provide the guest with the best quality sleep their budget can afford. If anyone has a question on pillows or sheets, Kaleb is the bedding accessory guru! He has been married to his wonderful wife, Julie, for 13 years. Coconut ice cream from the Big Dipper is one of his favorite treats. Hiking, sports, games, and being a father to three children are some of Kaleb's favorite hobbies.
Helen Shandy is the newest addition to Mattress King, but she's no novice in the mattress and furniture industry. She tried to retire from it, but Mattress King's loving family atmosphere lured her back in. She describes it as "such a joy that there are enough people here that each person gets to focus and find out what they love." Her five daughters and 3 granddaughters bring her immense joy and her time in sales is no match for the rush she used to get from dirt track racing.
Our resident jokester and comedian, Paul, found permanence with Mattress King in the fall of 2015. However, some may feel that he was born into the Mattress King family; he has been involved with Mattress King since he was 16; working Summers, in between school sessions, delivering and setting up mattress sets. During and after high school, Paul spent 4 seasons playing hockey for the Billings Bulls. After high school, he married his beautiful bride, Teal, and they moved to Homer, AK to pursue degrees from the Alaska Bible Institute. After welcoming their daughter, Noelle, into the world in May of 2015, they moved to Louisiana to be closer to Teal's family. Shortly thereafter, they moved back to Billings, MT. Paul has been selling sleep ever since. He wants "to make every single guest's needs feel valued and understood". If he isn't selling sleep, Paul is practicing his "songbird" vocal skills, mainly to the Darkness' "I Believe in a Thing Called Love". He loves rooting on the Red Wings and loves working with his wonderful Mattress King family.
Luke is the ultimate competitor and as he puts it "a total cliche". He loves pizza, working out, sports, and playing Xbox One. He married his college sweetheart Nitza. They welcomed a beautiful daughter in June of 2017. Kaleb Haub, another Mattress King team member, introduced him to Tashina and Luke had a job soon after. Luke initially joined Mattress King as a delivery driver and worked into sales in 2016. He was born in Rochester, Indiana; he's been living in Billings, MT for 4 years. Luke was a wrestler in high school. He's a big fan of the Chicago Bears, he loves watching sports, playing sports, and being competitive in anything. He is the king of hair product and is always looking fit and dapper. When helping a guest, Luke's goal is to "find every person the best night's sleep possible, regardless of budget."
"He doesn't always sell mattresses, but when he does, you will get the best mattress for your budget" Tom is Mattress King's most interesting man. This retired sales professional works part time and employs his vast array of stories and knowledge onto every guest and team member at Mattress King. Tom spent 20 years in the welding and industrial supply business, retired, and began selling sleep. He started working for Mattress King in 2008 and describes it as "the most perfect job". Tom is the welcoming expert, he wants "each guest to feel like they walked into his own home, welcomed and comfortable". He is a master of specs and mattresses, but would rather discuss fishing, hunting, 4x4ing, grandchildren, and anything you could possibly imagine. If you want to know something or hear a story, just talk with Tom. His four grandchildren have become the center of his life and his main devotion.
Lacey Holst maintains the order and promotes all things fun. This extra spunky and very fit, mom of four and grandmother of five, keeps the paperwork in order for Mattress King and answers every phone call. She's taken care of it for 13 years, she's the secretary extraordinaire. Her smile radiates warmth and kindness so you know you already have a friend before you step foot in the store.
"I'm a Bobcat fan, and avid follower," cheers Val, who leads the Mattress King store in the bustling college town of Bozeman. She established her roots in Bozeman seven years ago after designing the store's layout. Before moving from Billings, Val put her interior design abilities to good use in the Magic City's Mattress King stores for many years. Her creative touches transformed what were very nice stores into comfortably chic places where guests enjoy spending time finding the perfect bed.
Jesse Hoffmann is a true sleep geek. Mattress King was lucky enough to pick him up as a delivery professional while he finished up college and a 5 year football career on the offensive line for the MSU Bobcats. Jesse quickly realized his passion for "helping people get their best night's sleep" stemmed from an interest in sleep habits in general. He is fascinated by sleep and thinks his long term goals will include plenty of it. This 6'4" literature lover will help you find the right bed, educate you a little, and enjoy every bit of the process. Just don't make him climb a ladder, he's afraid of heights.
