What’s a box spring, do I need a new one?
A box spring or foundation is an essential part of your mattress set. It provides a flat, supportive surface for your new mattress. Just like a mattress, box springs / foundations wear out over time. If you buy a new mattress and use an old or mismatched box spring, your new mattress can wear out faster. The manufacturer warranty on your new mattress is voided if you use an old, used, or mismatched box spring / foundation. If you have proper supporting platform furniture, a box spring or foundation is not needed.
Is a mattress protector the same as a mattress pad?
No, mattress protectors are a removable piece of bedding that protects from allergens, dust mites, mold, skin cells, and moisture. They protect from spills, stains, and accidents. They help ensure mattress trials and warranties stay intact, as well as add to the lifespan and comfort of a mattress. The fit, feel, and quality of today's mattress protectors replace the need for a mattress pad.
Will an adjustable base fit into my current headboard & footboard?
For most manufactured beds, yes, your adjustable will fit inside, replacing your box spring. If you have a platform bed, most adjustables are platform friendly. Our delivery team are professionals at this, they will take care of everything for you!
How long will it take to adjust to my new mattress?
Like a new pair of shoes, a new mattress may need a little time to condition. At first, your brand new mattress may feel a little different than the one you tried in the store. While some people sleep great from the first night on it is important to give your body time to adjust and re-align. This adjustment can be up to 4 weeks.
